New era of Russia-China ties, says Putin while welcoming Chinese defence minister

Russian President Vladimir Putin welcomed China's defence minister Li Shangfu on Sunday and the two held talks. Russia's defence minister Sergei Shoigu was also present in the meeting. Putin said Russian-Chinese military cooperation helps strengthen strategic and trust-based relations between the two countries. He added that Russia-China ties have entered a new era.
