Twitter suspension of journalists draws backlash; UN disturbed by the act

After suspending the accounts of half of the journalists, Twitter has drawn backlash and stern warning from the United Nations and the European Union. Officials from France, Germany and the United Kingdom and journalism organisations have condemned the suspensions.
